Beauty Chocolates

Rose & Spirulina | Blush Beauty


Servings - 10 (medium-sized)

Prep Time - 5-7 minutes

Resting Time - 1 hour in the refrigerator


Measurements: 1 cup = 250 ml


Ingredients

 

¼ cup - Cashews (not whole so that it's easier to grind)

½ cup - Almond Flour (blanched almond flour)

¼ cup - Cocoa Butter or Cacao Butter (melted)

1 tbsp - Coconut Oil (preferably cold pressed) melted

up to 1 ½ tbsp- Any Sweetener (khandsari sugar, honey, pure maple syrup, date syrup)

1 tsp - Organic Spirulina Powder

1 tsp - Ashwagandha Powder

½ tsp - Orange Peel Powder

Few Dried Rose Petals and few Strands of Kesar


Method

 

  1. In a food processor or a mixer grinder grind the cashews well till they turn into a fine powder. Now add in the almond flour and grind it well. The base is ready.

  2. In a double boiler (or a glass bowl over water) over low-medium heat ,melt the cocoa or cacao butter slowly until completely smooth. Add in the sugar (whichever you prefer) and stir well till it melts.

  3. Add in the melted coconut oil and stir it well.

  4. Remove the bowl from heat.

  5. Add in the Spirulina powder,orange peel powder and Ashwagandha powder and stir it very well.

  6. Take any chocolate mould and place rose petals and Kesar at the bottom of the mould. Pour the prepared mixture into this prepared mould.

  7. Tap it 2 to 3 times to take out any air bubbles.

  8. Keep the chocolate mould in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour for the chocolates to set.

  9. Since no tempering is done for the chocolates it is advisable to keep the chocolates in the refrigerator. They will stay good up to 4 weeks.


 


Almond Milk

Homemade


Servings - 5

Prep Time - 10 minutes


Measurements: 1 cup = 250 ml


Ingredients

 

1 cup - Soaked Almonds

3 ½ - 4 cups - Filtered Water

4 medium size - Dates

1 tsp - Pure Vanilla


Method

 

  1. Mix in all the above ingredients in a blender and blend it for 4 minutes.

  2. Strain the whole thing through a nylon nut milk bag (available at amazon by urban platter) or layers of cheesecloth.

  3. Homemade Almond milk is ready. Keep it an airtight bottle (preferably glass)

  4. It will stay fresh up to 4 days in the refrigerator.

  5. Shake it well always before every use.

  6. The residue of Almonds which remain can be used for various purposes .

  7. Dry roast it in the oven at 160° to 180° degree centigrade for 20 minutes till it is totally dry and light brown in color.

  8. It can be used as a thickener for soups and gravies.

  9. It can be mixed with honey and sugar and used as a body scrub.

 

Glow Bowl

Servings - 1

Prep Time - 5 minutes

Resting Time - at least 2 hours in the refrigerator


Measurements: 1 cup = 250 ml


Ingredients

 

1 tsp - Chia Seeds

1 tbsp - Rolled Oats

10 - Makhanas (roasted and broken in halves)

1 tsp - Pure Maple Syrup (or any other sweetener as per your choice)

Pinch of Elaichi powder

Pinch of turmeric (turmeric with 7% circumin)

Few strands of Kesar

Few Slivered Almonds and Pistachios to be sprinkled on top

Fruits like Dragon Fruit or Pomegranate go well with this.


Method

 

  1. Take a small glass bowl. Place the Chia seeds, Rolled Oats, roasted Makhanas, Turmeric, Elaichi powder, Maple syrup and a few strands of Kesar.

  2. Pour almond milk over the above.

  3. Stir it well

  4. Keep it refrigerated for at least 2 hours for all the flavors to seep in.

  5. The other way is to keep it overnight.

  6. Garnish it with dragon fruit or pomegranate and slivered almonds and pistachios.

  7. It is a great breakfast dish.
